Marathon

Day Two of training today. 5 miles and I'm exhausted. So sad to see what not exercising in four months will do to you. 21 weeks before the marathon and then 26.2 miles. Well, my motto is, whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger. So if I don't die on my next run tomorrow or on the training days after, hopefully I'll be able to crawl to the finish line March 19.

AIDS Walk Part II

I received an email from the AIDS Walk organizers thanking Southwestern for its participation. Attached was this picture of the "Southwestern Group." I had to post this because it is so darn awesome.

In the front we have 12-13 year old law students. In the back we have an older man proudly waving, eager to show his support for the Bison. Please note that only four people in this picture are actually from Southwestern. Oh, but we look good!

P.S. Note: I received a comment from someone apologizing for not coming to the AIDS Walk. Please, do not feel badly if you did not come. I know we heckled you into signing up. I am an idiot for scheduling this thing so closely to midterms.

Things I've Forgotten

I have a very terrible memory and so I need to write these things down before I forget about them forever.

1. AIDS Walk---Ironic that out of the 33 people that signed up only one "true" Southwestern walker showed up (a nice 1L). There was a total of five, but three of us were from SBA and one was a random friend. My favorite part was the random friend proudly holding up the "Southwestern Law School" sign almost the whole walk. Good times.

2. Evidence Midterm. I've seen better days.

3. I can't spell and spell check doesn't always work so please don't make fun of me. Or if you do so, please do so nicely.

4. I can't remember.

ITAP

So exciting. At the lunch meeting I got a key to the office. And they had subway sandwiches on whole wheat bread. Life is good.

Theft!

I walked to my car this morning thinking about how I had forgotten my coffee when I noticed that my car was a mess (by that I mean more than usual).

My beautiful Kia Rio with no air-conditioning, and no power steering was broken into! Lots of food for the Luau was stolen.

Here are some great things I learned from this experience.

1. Having underground parking and a security guard is no security. Neither is locking your car.

2. Things Robbers Are Interested In:
1. 15 Bags of Potato Chips
2. 300 Cans of Soda
3. 8 Bags of Halloween Candy
4. CD Player

3. Things Robbers Aren't Interested In:
1. Christian Praise music given to me by my mother and Titled in Bold "For My
Daughter. Women's Praise Music. Love Mom. "
Guilty Conscience or just not interested?
2. Smelly Gym Clothes
3. Pineapples
4. Grapes
5. Law Books (thank God!)

So basically the Robbers could have taken my books and left me the food and have been better off. But don't tell them that. My Kia Rio is still recovering.
